A note before proceeding

The post directly under this one is a little harsh.

Before you proceed a couple of things.

I know that there are underlying issues with some people, either from a medical or psychological standpoint that makes the change from obesity difficult or for some, even impossible. Please realize that I am NOT talking about them. I am talking about people like me who are obese for no other reason than a total disregard for health and wellness.

Thanks!!

I just did the bmi and i am exactly the same as you 41.7. I got this way from a combination of repative injuries and lately, laziness from being off work since last april, i went to school for two semesters but i was hope most of my time and to the fridge i went.

I have eaten better this week. Just finished 5 egg whites for a snack actually, it'll take some time but i hope with starting work tomorrow i've get a routine going again and not sleep half the day.

just one more thing i found intresting. According to the BMI calc i used, i plugged in weight of 217, the same i was a few years ago, it came out to be overweight. On the SWR site I posted a link of me when i was 217. No way any person can say looking at me that I was overweight. My doctor wanted me to be 180. I'd be a skeleton.

I say BMI is just BMI in the medical sense....just my opinion....I say when you get to the weight you feel your best and look the way you like you stop listening to others and just feel good about yourself.

I'm 5'4" and I "should" be 125 to 135lbs...At 137 when I got married I was puny...size 5-6...So for me a comfortable weight is 145...size 7-8. I have a big frame and carry my weight evenly.

So that what I have to say today!

Glad your BP is under control or should I say under pressure!

Oh I agree that when you are CLOSE to what your BMI should be, when I say should be I mean what the chart says, it then becomes a matter of comfort and individuality, but if your BMI on the chart is 40 plus, then yes, you have a problem...lol...

I'm much the same, the best I looked and felt was at about 190-195...
